The jury's still out as to if Best Actor Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner has a speech prepared should he win for The Hurt Locker at Sunday's show, but he's already chosen the woman to bring as his date: His mom!

On Oprah Winfrey's Oscar special (Wednesday, 10:01 p.m./ET on ABC), Renner opens up to Ben Affleck about their planned night out, and Affleck offers a word of advice. (Watch a clip above)

Look back at memorable past Oscar moments in preparation for this year's show!

"I took my mom to the Oscars. And I'll just caution you to set boundaries," Affleck, who brought his mother, Chris, to the 1998 show, tells Renner. "Then she'll start thinking she's gonnna go everywhere!"

But Renner has a back-up plan.

"If my mom's sick, will you be my date?" he asks Affleck with a chuckle. "I have a feeling your mom will drag herself out," the actor says. "But I'll wear a dress for you. I'll have to wear a big girl dress, but I can do it!"
