Envious of Kate Middleton‘s life as a royal? Think Cressida Bonas isn’t all that? So thought 12 American women who willingly joined Fox’s new reality dating show I Wanna Marry “Harry,” in which they thought they were competing for the affections of Prince William‘s younger brother, Harry.
According to Deadline, the show manages to dupe the women into believing that Prince Harry lookalike Matthew Hicks is the actual prince. Hicks is given the, ahem, royal treatment, receiving an intensive makeover to properly confuse the ladies.
The faux dating show is similar to the network’s notorious 2003 show Joe Millionaire, in which 21 unsuspecting women tried to win the heart a “millionaire” who turned out to be a regular Joe.
The real royal, 29, is nowhere near interested in a reality dating show. In fact, he might be popping the question to longtime girlfriend Cressida Bonas very soon.
“It’s serious,” a source close to Harry told Us Weekly. “I can see them engaged by the end of this year,” and another pal adds, “Cressida is who Harry was looking for for so long. He’s very happy, and they’re planning a future together.”
I Want to Marry “Harry” is supposedly set for a summer launch. Tell Us: Will you watch I Wanna Marry “Harry”?
