Even Hollywood royalty gets starstruck by the real royals!
In a conference call for NBC's Dec. 13 special William and Kate: Inside the Royal Marriage, royal photographer Chris Jackson opened up about the moment when Reese Witherspoon first encountered Duchess Kate.
"One of the bits featured in the documentary was when Catherine met Reese Witherspoon, and there's a picture where Reese is just looking at her in complete awe," he said. Kate and William, both 29, hobnobbed with Hollywood's elite at a private event Sunday during their North American Royal Tour in July.
"[Reese] was really excited to meet [Kate]," Jackson said. "But what I explain in the documentary is that the great thing about photographing royals is kind of that you transcend celebrity and get an A-list Hollywood star."
Before Kate and Will's April 29 "I do's," Witherspoon, 35, told Live! with Regis and Kelly that she was "bummed" she didn't score an invite to the royal wedding.
"[Someone said], 'Do you know them?' and I said, 'No!'" the Oscar winner quipped. "But I invited them to my wedding!" (Witherspoon married talent agent Jim Toth in March.)
Tune in to NBC Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. EST for William and Kate: Inside the Royal Marriage, hosted by Natalie Morales.
