Reese Witherspoon Plays a Police Officer in Don't Mess with Texas: See Her Uniform
Do you know her name? After famously berating a police officer in April 2013, Reese Witherspoon is now playing one of the boys in blue for her upcoming movie, Don't Mess with Texas.
Witherspoon, 38, was snapped on the set of her comedy, wearing a full police officer's uniform, complete with a tie, a badge, and a nameplate reading "COOPER."
The Oscar winner seems to have come around on cops enough to want to play one in a movie, after she publicly scuffled with an officer last year.
In what has become something of a Hollywood legend, the Legally Blonde star was pulled over in Atlanta with her husband, Jim Toth, on April 19. Toth, 43, was put through a field sobriety test, while officers told Witherspoon to remain in her vehicle. The actress, who later said she "clearly had one drink too many," refused to stay in the car and began shouting at the law enforcer, "Do you know my name?"
She added to the police officer, "You're about to find out who I am… You are going to be on national news."
Witherspoon, who was charged with disorderly conduct for the incident, stars in Don't Mess with Texas alongside Sofia Vergara and Michael Mosley. The movie began filming in New Orleans earlier this month.
