Mama's girl! Hours before Reese Witherspoon hit the red carpet at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre for the 87th Annual Academy Awards, she was getting some last-minute encouragement from her mother, Betty Reese

The Wild star, who is up for Best Actress at the awards show, took to Instagram on Sunday, Feb. 22, to share screenshots of adorable text message conversations with her mom. Utilizing the heart emoji and signing off every text as from "mom," Reese sent her celebrated daughter notes of love and updates on her own big night.

"My biggest fan…" Witherspoon, 38, captioned the image of her mom's words, in which she discusses her trip to Whole Foods for Oscar party supplies, sends her best wishes to her daughter, as well as her costar Laura Dern and her Wild inspiration Cheryl Strayed, and thanks Witherspoon for the "wonderful" film.

As she prepped for Hollywood's biggest night, the previous Best Actress winner shared another shot of her mom's kind words. After praising Witherspoon for the "love," "happiness," and "laughter" that she brings, Reese went on to add, "Hello to Neil Patrick Harris [love] mom."

At the 2015 Oscars, she is up for Best Actress against frontrunner Julianne Moore for Still Alice, Felicity Jones for The Theory of Everything, Marion Cotillard for Two Days, One Night, and Rosamund Pike for Gone Girl.
