With two lauded, Grammy-nominated discs behind them, Arcade Fire have a rep for merging ornate, atmospheric soundscapes with lyrical dramatics. The indie rockers do so again on their third CD, a majestic, oft-bitter critique of suburban life (frontman Win Butler moans of being "inside of a private prison" on the intricate "City With No Children") that matches the brilliance of their last, 2007's Neon Bible.
