A potentially great cast -- including Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Kristin Davis, Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau (the last two cowrote the screenplay) -- disappoints in this queasy comedy about four couples who take a group vacation to a remote pleasure island and discover that the "optional" relationship counseling is anything but. An early joke with a kid peeing in a model toilet at a home superstore establishes the lame tone. And once the octet sets foot on the sand, the rest of the gags go over like thuds from the nearby waves. (Universal, $30)
