Review | Glee, Season 2

Us Rating: ** 1/2

Two words: sophomore slump. The instantly beloved dramedy stumbles in this uneven season. While some episodes are a hit (the irresistible Britney Spears tribute), others are big misses (the cautionary tale about underage drinking, one of several "issue" stories that feels overwrought and silly). But don’t stop believing.' The musical numbers are as shining as ever, especially those led by charismatic cast addition Darren Criss. And the finale -- when the New Directions kids are let loose in the Big Apple -- is pure joy.
