Part classic rom-com, part comic-book goof, this movie is not nearly as cool as it wants to be. Michael Cera, in usual timid-hipster mode, plays a lovelorn rocker who falls for a delivery girl (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). But before he can date her, he must defeat her seven evil exes, superhero style. With its video game-like effects and loud bass, the film is strictly for the Comic-Con crowd.

This review couldn't be any further from the truth. Scott Pilgrim has a bit of everything for a diverse demographic. Music, romance, cleverly crafted deul sequences -- all wrapped into a witty, fast-paced script and engaging story. Already seen it twice and can't wait to go back for more. Scott Pilgrim is the film that keeps on giving. What a great gift of escape!
