Fans of 300 should relish this highly stylized retelling of the honorable warrior (well-chiseled Andy Whitfield) who's captured by a dastardly Roman (Craig Parker) and forced to fight in gladiator games. Before his first devastating match, though, flashbacks give insight into his life, as well as the love (Erin Cummings) he may have lost forever. Unlike HBO’s dour Rome, this similarly themed drama is fast-paced and vivid (blood splatters across the screen in slow motion). It's also TV-MA, thanks to sex and cussing galore! (Starz, 10 P.M.)
