Deadly werewolves and witchery raise the stakes (so to speak) for vampire brothers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) in Diaries' sophomore run. Darker, with more mythology to round out the story, the season is both scary and surprisingly moving. (Warner, $60)
