Review | The Yellow Handkerchief

IN THEATERS FRIDAY 2/26

Here's another quirky indie that never would have been released theatrically before Twilight. Shot back in 2007, the movie stars Kristen Stewart -- who shows promise, though she's twitchy -- as a Southern teen who picks up an ex-con (William Hurt) for a journey into post-Katrina New Orleans. While beautifully shot and well-acted by Hurt, it's a limp road movie that doesn't cover any new territory.
