In a quest for bigger ratings and louder buzz, the teen drama gave itself a season two makeover complete with sexy cast additions, racy love triangles and hipster guest stars. Tonight, the changes pay off: The West Beverly gang attends rapper Pharrell's record party, where DJ Samantha Ronson spins tunes and urges brokenhearted Navid (Michael Steger) to flirt with some girls ("They're pretty cute," she notes). More interesting? Deliciously bratty Jen (Sara Foster) schemes to discredit good guy Liam (Matt Lanter). While not every plot sizzles, give 90210 an A for improvement. (CW, 8 P.M.)
