Creaky and obvious, this legal thriller has a crusading journalist (Jesse Metcalfe) going to extremes to entrap a corrupt district attorney (Michael Douglas) while romancing the lawyer's assistant (Amber Tamblyn). Desperate Housewives' Metcalfe shows little acting range, Douglas blusters — and the entire drama plays like a dumbed-down John Grisham flick. Case closed!
