OPENS: FRIDAY 9/4
Joel (Jason Bateman) is bored at his job (he owns a factory that makes flavored extracts) and frustrated by a wife (Kristen Wiig) who rarely has sex with him — and he regularly gripes about it all with his bartender BFF (a goofily blitzed Ben Affleck). Enter sexy con artist Cindy (Mila Kunis), who joins the assembly line at Joel’s plant and, with the bat of an eyelash, nearly costs the smitten guy his marriage and career. Like director Mike Judge's Office Space, Extract sweetly satirizes work and domestic life, squeezing many laughs out of the daily grind at the company. Bateman is spot on as the dissatisfied everyman, and Kunis appeals as a thief of hearts — and wallets.
