Battle of the boyfriends! Alexis Bledel and Matt Czuchry reunited as Rory Gilmore and Logan Huntzberger in a new behind-the-scenes pic on Thursday, May 5, from the Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls.
Tanc Sade, who plays Logan’s friend Finn and fellow member of the so-called Life and Death Brigade secret society at Yale, posted a photo teasing the drama to come. “Chillin’ with #Rory & #Logan. Will they? Won’t they? Hmmm,” he wrote on Twitter. The on-off couple dated throughout the final three seasons of the popular series during their time at the Ivy League school.
Her college beau is just one of Rory’s former love interests returning to Stars Hollow for the revival. Jared Padalecki, who plays Rory’s first boyfriend, Dean Forester, and Milo Ventimiglia, who plays bad boy Jess Mariano, will both be back to reprise their roles as well.
Fans divisively debated which of the three men Rory should end up with, and are hoping to finally get a definite answer when the new Netflix series debuts. Gilmore Girls regulars Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Melissa McCarthy (Sookie) and more will all be coming back, plus they’ll be joined by newbies including Younger’s Sutton Foster and Scandal’s Dan Bucatinsky.
When viewers last saw Rory at the end of season 7 (which originally aired in May 2007!), she turned down Logan’s marriage proposal to pursue her journalism career and cover Barack Obama on the campaign trail. The Netflix reboot, which will be four 90-minute movie-like installments, picks up a decade after the finale. A launch date has not yet been announced for the Gilmore Girls revival, but it’s expected to be released sometime this year.
