Scotty's slip and fall!

American Idol's 10th season champ Scotty McCreery had quite a scare August 10 when covering Travis Tritt's "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" -- he fell victim -- literally -- to Brad Paisley's pranks when opening up for Paisley in Bethel, N.Y.

"Dagum @BradPaisley pranked me again . . .he narrowed up the stage on me for my last song," McCreery, 18, tweeted after falling off stage. Assuring fans he was OK -- and keeping a sense of humor about the whole thing -- McCreery later posted a link to a video of the incident along with the caption "if anyone needs a good laugh."

After "The Trouble With Girls" singer's scary tumble, his tour mates made sure to take extra precautions so he wouldn't fall again, and set up caution tape and orange cones around the stage at a subsequent tour stop.
