Sleigh Bells Take A Strange Trip Through The Desert

Entertainment Feb. 7, 2011 AT 1:35PM

One of my favorite drinking games involves naming as many videos as you can with a similar theme and, if you stumble, you have to take a shot. For example, gather 'round with your friends and go back and forth naming every music video ever set in a diner (Kelis's "Milkshake," Alicia Keys’ "You Don't Know My Name," Lady Gaga's "Telephone" and Cee-Lo's "F#&k You") or in a creepy old mansion (The Divinyls "I Touch Myself," Meatloaf's "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)," George Michael's "Freedom," etc.).

One of the categories that always keeps me sober for quite awhile is videos shot on or near a long stretch of highway in the desert. This list can go on for days -- Deee-Lite's "Runaway," Imani Coppola's "Legend Of A Cowgirl" (which also features a diner -- just like "Telephone!"), The Black Eyed Peas "Imma Be," Sheryl Crow's "Leaving Las Vegas," The Killers’ "Human," Madonna's "Don't Tell Me," Kanye West's "Flashing Lights" -- See what I mean? Never ends!

And now we have another to add to that list: "Rill Rill," by that charming indie pop duo Sleigh Bells, featured as one of the standout tracks off their debut disc, Treats (out now).

See singer Alexis Krauss push her bandmate Derek Miller (and his guitar) out of a speeding Camaro above -- but watch out for that bloody phone! I'll drink to that!
