Stedman Graham: Oprah Winfrey Is a "Prophet"

Stedman Graham worships his long-time girlfriend Oprah Winfrey -- and he thinks fans should too!
"I don't think they understand the value of who she is as a human being and what she's done," Graham, 49, told Chicago Fox affiliate WFLD. "Because a prophet has no honor in his own town."

(The claim that Winfrey, 56, is a prophet is actually a Biblical reference from John 4: "For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.")
The businessman insists that Chicagoans don't appreciate the talk show queen and all she's done for the Windy City. She plans to move to Los Angeles to launch her own TV network, OWN, when her talk show goes off the air in 2011 after 25 years on the air.

"I think they take her for granted a lot," he continued. "I'm just saying, from an insider's point of view, that I don't think she gets the just due based on who she really is and what she's done for the Chicagoland area... she's a great humanitarian, a great leader."
But Winfrey is more than just humanitarian -- she knows how to party too!

Last month, Winfrey told UsMagazine.com she planned to let loose at the Met Gala afterparties in NYC. "I like tequila and I will have a few shots this evening!" said an Oscar de la Renta-clad Winfrey.

20If indeed Stedman worships Oprah and wants others to do so, it's because he is a weak man and living off her dime. No one but God is to be worshipped. Jesus Christ doesn't even want to be worshipped. All worship goes to almighty God Jehovah,(Matthew 4:4) and not to flesh and blood that will eventually die.

This article is lame.... He made reference to the biblical quote which essentially means one who is not respected or regarded for what they do or who they are. This is a quote used frequently in modern language but does not take the literal translation of a prophet as defined by the dictionary. This is very sloppy and misleading writing.. you ought to know better. Anyone who has studied English knows that it is not a literal translation but a more symbolic reference to how an individual is or is not regarded by those around him.
Really? Stedman is What? An employee? Someone who hides the fact that she is gay? Oprah is a talk show host. She donates money. I am a bookkeeper and I donate money. However, I would never ask to be recognized. Just because I don't give the exact amount she does means nothing, I give more than what I can, a humble amount. But Humble would be the key word here, which these two OpieJackasses do not understand. What about having some grace and humility Sted? I personally can't wait til she is gone. What an ego. Jerks.

You're all missing the real points here.. 1) He's on the payroll and is duly expected to grovel and genuflect. 2) She is a classic narcissist who will always need praise and adoration..it's how they live and breathe. 3) No matter who much press she receives, there is an obsessive need for more.

A prophet?? What exactly is "chicago" supposed to "do" for her? bow down and kiss her feet? Yes, she is a humanitarian and I believe she's done a lot to better the world and help others. But a TRUE humanitarian doesn't need to be praised or expect to be worshiped for their good deeds. Only God can be worshiped. Now I see the reason why he usually doesn't talk - b/c he's a moron!

This is such joke! I know that I am sick of Oprahs views being shoved down my throat! Just as the people in her hometown are I am sure. Oprah is not a prophet and only helps those of her "kind". When was the last time she was in a country that was not all black? I don't see her starting schools in non-black poor countries! She wants everyone to think she is not a racist and is equal, but honey, she is most certainly not! I can not stand this woman, she is a hypocrit to the letter! I will be glad when she is off the air for good.

I am wondering why you have never invited anybody from Jamaica have we not required the approved etiquettes to be apart of your show. Oh, good God -- he didn't call her a prophet, he used a biblical quote to compare the lack of recognition she gets for her philanthropy to that of a prophet. Once again the headline on this article is intentionally misleading just to stir things up.
She is a very good talk show host who understands people. That's it! Americans are always caught up in symbolism, she's not a God.

Sorry but I only worship 1 and that is GOD! I do like Oprah but would NEVER call her a prophet or worship her! Worshiping her is against what my GOD wants.
