Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino feels bad he mocked his Jersey Shore costar Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's "rolls" on last week's episode.

"I regret saying it because I have a sister and a mother, but at the same time, everything happened so quickly and that is what happened," The Situation, 27, told UsMagazine.com at the GBK Gift Lounge in West Hollywood Friday.

The Situation explains that tension had been building up -- and came to a head while the cast was having dinner in Atlantic City together.

"We were getting on each other's nerves," he says. "It just so happened that previously Snooki had said something to me and I immediately said something to her."

On the show, Snooki, 21, stormed out of dinner and admitted she'd battled an eating disorder. But she has since said she has no hard feelings -- and even occasionally "hooks up" with The Situation.

"It's not awkward at all," Snooki told E!'s Chelsea Handler. "If I wanna make out with him right now, I can. It's not weird."

The Situation also opened up to Us about all the star attention he's been receiving since appearing on the MTV hit -- like hanging out with Leonardo DiCaprio at Hollywood hotspot Voyeur last week.

"Leo recited one of my lines from my show and that was so awesome," he said. "Everything is going so fast right now and we are meeting so many different people. I am shaking every hand and kissing every cheek, I am just being respectful."

"Snooki" resembles a fat actual snook fish. What a lard maked up pig. Boy if that is considered hot in Jersey I feel bad for the men there. LOL

I don't like her hair or nasty tan. And they all cover their insecurities by saying people are jealous. Please.

  • January 19, 2010 - 12:22am Holly

I thought Snooki was 18. She said on the show she had never lived away from her mom before. 21 and still at home? The Situation is 27? Doesn't a 27 year old have something better to do than live in a house and work at a tshirt store? I thought these were 18 - 21 year olds. It is even more sad that they are a lot older.

Alright, I am Italian and see this show as totally awesome. People who diss the show or the people on it or what they do are just jealous cuz they can't look as hot or be like us guidettes and guidos. Wateva... N to those Italians who find this show offensive- you ain't Italian.

Nasty, tacky, trashy, low class, vulgar, disrespectful, no talent so called actors. Only good thing I can say about this show and all the actors. Lucky

TRASH TRASH TRASH TV...most all reality shows are just that...these are talentless nobody's...what a sad and disturbing comment on the state of television that this is considered entertainment...and to be so caught up in the lives of these 'people' is ridiculously shallow and idiotic...

Snooki shouldn't get upset. We all know that Oompa Loompas have rolls and are orange. And she's this short little tramp with no talent who should give us all a break and go jump off a bridge. I'm sure there's a nice one in Jersey she can do that from.

  • January 18, 2010 - 8:34pm katie

ARe you flippin kidding me? As a Jersey girl born and raised we have these idiots coming in from New York acting like the know how Jersey people act! They are rediculous and its embarrassing for REAL Jersey people! The guys are foul and the girls are hoes!

  • January 18, 2010 - 7:27pm LLS

This is the BEST show on TV right now, I love it!!!

  • January 18, 2010 - 7:23pm LOL

Let me get this straight. Snooki didn't like it when Mike made a comment about her weight, but she can call a girl a hippo? Give me a break. As the old saying goes "don't dish it out if you can't take it."

The Situation is pretty harmless. The true loser of this group is Ronnie. How many times has this guy punched someone in a fit of roid rage? He seems to have some anger management issues. His relationship with Sam seems a bit twisted. He pushes her and gets into a fight with someone. Then blames HER because HE punched someone. Then he begs her for forgiveness because he loves her and can't live without her. Wow. This chick needs to wake up and get away from this violent loser. Does she want him to hit HER the next time he gets pissed off?
