Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is releasing The Bachelor: The Videogame this summer.

The game, available on Nintendo Wii and DS, allows players to compete for the love of Mesnick or one of the other as-yet-unnamed Bachelors and Bachelorettes featured, all of whom are based on the real-life stars of the TV series.

According to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's press release, "players can choose from a selection of avatars that best suits their personality" before the competition, which is structured like the ABC reality show, begins.

"It is comprised of multiple 'episodes' where the player goes head-to-head against the game characters for time alone with the Bachelor or Bachelorette," the statement continues. "The Wii version offers multi-player mode for a fun party game enabling players to compete against their 'frenemies.'"

And if fans loved the competition between Vienna Girardi and Tenley Molzahn over Jake Pavelka on this season's The Bachelor, this game even allows opponents to "sabotage others' dates and prevent them from receiving a rose" at the rose ceremony.

This is funny. You can win the heart of other bachelors according to the article. I'd play for the hilarity factor.

Is this a joke??? I'd only play the Jason game if it came with a Gun and had lots of explosives. He's a D-BAG!! I mean, what there's REALLY something wrong w/this world if Jason Bleeping Mesnick get his own game?

  • March 04, 2010 - 2:32pm I'm Amused

This game reminds me of the "Dream Date" game I had when I was a kid only in electronic format. This could be amusing .. a way to ease the stress of the day. Will have to check it out.

The thought of winning his heart in a game is enough to make you throw up. Who cares ABOUT ANY OF THESE PEOPLE.

    Is this a joke?!?!

Nintendo has a problem with this game. None of the stuff that happens on the reality show is 'family-friendly', which is essentially what every Wii game is targeted as being. So, it will either have to be nothing like the show, or it will end up being a horrible nightmare filled with complaints from consumer and watchdog groups. Nintendo used to be good. Now they produce so much junk you'd think they were Sony.

If this is supposed to be authentic, I think the character needs substantially less hair. Although the "spray on" effect is spot on.
