Vin Diesel remembered his late costar Paul Walker.

Five months after the tragic death of actor Paul Walker, his costar Vin Diesel is connecting with his brothers. Diesel, 46, who starred in the Fast & Furious franchise with Walker, posted a photo to his Facebook account late Sunday evening, April 20, of himself with Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody.

Walker, who died in a car crash in November at the age of 40, was in the midst of shooting scenes for the upcoming Fast Seven, but never completed the film. To complete scenes unfinished by the late actor, Caleb and Cody Walker will appear in the film.

Last week, the brothers’ participation was announced on the official Facebook page of Fast & Furious in a note reading, “Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take time to grieve Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film. We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for Fast & Furious 7, and it’s among the strongest work of his career.”

“We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our Fast family,” the statement continued. “Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.”

In the caption to his recent photo with Caleb and Cody, Diesel opened up about his reaction to Walker’s death. “When I heard the news, I left the production, grabbed a plane and took my family and Michelle [Rodriguez] back to LA,” he wrote. “[We] drove directly to his parents’ house. His father said, ‘Paul loved you, Vin.’ I awkwardly and nervously said, ‘Aw come on…’ Then he said, ‘You don’t have to get along every second to love each other.’ So true.”

Diesel went on to add about his experience with Caleb and Cody: “After spending time with his biological brothers, I must say to the parents, you raised some great kids.” Check out Diesel’s photo with Walker’s brothers above, and catch their appearances in the latest Fast film in theaters on April 10, 2015.
