The perks of being Emma Watson!

The Harry Potter star debuted the first trailer of her new film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

The film is based on the best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky and follows the life of of Charlie (Logan Lerman), an introverted freshman who is befriended by two seniors, Sam (Emma Watson) and Patrick (Ezra Miller).

"Why do I, and everyone I love, pick people who treat us like we're nothing," Sam asks. Charlie responds, "We accept the love we think we deserve."

The film also stars Paul Rudd, who plays Charlie's English teacher, Bill. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is set to open in theaters Sept. 14.
