Wendy Williams Suggests Beyonce and Jay Z Are Paying Rachel Roy to Promote ‘Lemonade’

Oh, snap! Wendy Williams has just inserted herself into the Beyoncé and Rachel Roy debacle. The TV personality suggested during her daytime talk show on Monday, April 25, that the designer is actually in cahoots with Queen Bey and her husband, Jay Z.

“Rachel Roy, first of all, you’re not this fighting girl unless you’re on Jay Z and Beyoncé’s payroll, and they paid you to mix it up to add, I guess, sales for Lemonade,” Williams, 51, said.

The talk show host is referring to Roy’s reaction to Beyoncé’s new track “Sorry.” Over the weekend, the 34-year-old “Formation” singer, married to Jay Z since 2008, dropped her sixth studio album, Lemonade. The new music alludes to marital affairs and calls out a mistress named “Becky” who has “good hair.” After the song’s release, Roy alluded that she’s “Becky” in a now-deleted Instagram post.

“Good hair don’t care,” wrote Roy, 42. She added via Twitter: “I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind.” The fashion designer has since been taunted by Beyoncé’s “beehive” fans and canceled a Monday event appearance because of a “personal emergency.”

Amid the chaos, Rachael Ray also got caught in the crossfire. As previously reported, Bey fans confused Roy for Ray and left nasty comments on the celebrity chef’s social-media accounts.

“They are swarming on our neighbor, Rachael Ray. Similar name but not the same thing. Like, leave this white lady alone!” Williams said on Monday. “Rachael is no dumbbell. She used the moment to put out a delicious recipe for lemonade. So stupid. So stupid.”

Williams didn’t stop there. The Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade actress also called out Beyoncé for releasing Lemonade just days after Prince’s death.

“Quite frankly, I wish Beyoncé had held off on the album after Prince. Until this whole weekend kind of blew over,” she said. Williams also joked that the new drama won’t help people forget about the ongoing sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby. “Bill Cosby, don’t get beside yourself because long after Prince is gone, and Beyoncé and Jay Z are still together, we are going to circle back around and still deal with you.”
