Woman Stunned to Learn That Coworker Is Also Her Birth Mom on ‘Long Lost Family’: ‘I Know Her!’

Hanging out in the break room will never be the same again! Long Lost Family’s Sunday, March 13, episode features a woman who astoundingly learns that her birth mother is actually her former coworker, as seen in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek.

The clip shows host Chris Jacobs informing Jenny Thomas that the TLC series has managed to track down her birth mother, Nita Valdez, who lives in Rochester, as does Thomas. She had previously spent 15 years trying to locate her biological mom, to no avail.

“Really? That’s wonderful,” Thomas, 40, tearfully replies when she gets the joyous news. She also asks if her mom is happy, and Jacobs informs her that this is the same question that Valdez first asked him about her.

The shocking twist comes when Thomas sees a photo of Valdez and realizes that they are acquainted but never realized their relation. The pair met 10 years ago at a Rochester hospital and were coworkers for two years, where Thomas was a patient care technician and Valdez was a patient transporter.

“Oh, my God — I know her!” Thomas exclaims.
