Let's hear it for the girl! DC Comics unleashed the first footage from the upcoming Wonder Woman movie on Tuesday, January 19.
Aired during a CW special, the sneak peek showed Wonder Woman's fierce fighting skills. Played by Gal Gadot, she wields her sword, whips her shield and rides horses like a complete boss. The only thing missing from the footage: her Greek god-blessed lasso.
But there is a small consolation: the brief appearance of her love interest, Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine).
Pine, 35, said during the special, "Telling a story like this now is pivotal and important, the story of a very powerful woman."

Meanwhile, Gadot, who will first appear as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman v. Superman, expanded on the film's plot points. "We're going to see her coming of age, the entire history, what's her mission," she said.
Wonder Woman is set to hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
