Chris Pine

Chris Pine is an American actor best known for playing Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek reboot film series and Steve Trevor in the Wonder Woman films. Chris is the son of actors Robert Pine and Gwynne Gilford and the grandson of actress Anne Gwynne. He spent his childhood in Los Angeles and attended Oakwood School before graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in English in 2002.

Pine began his career with guest roles on shows including CSI: Miami and ER before making his feature film debut in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004). His breakthrough came in 2009 when he was cast as Captain Kirk in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek, a role that launched him into leading-man status.

Throughout his career, he has appeared in projects including Unstoppable (2010), Into the Woods (2014), Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2015), Hell or High Water (2016), Don’t Worry Darling (2022) and Poolman (2023), the latter of which marked his feature directorial debut. He also starred as Stever Trevor in 2017’s Wonder Woman, sharing the screen with Gal Gadot and later returning for the 2020 sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.

Throughout his career, he has received several awards and nominations for his work, including a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for his voice role in SuperMansion.

Pine has been linked to several high-profile women over the years, including Olivia Munn, Dominique Piek and Annabelle Wallis. In 2023, he began dating Keana Sky Wenger.
