The latest name rumored to be replacing former American Idol judge Simon Cowell: Jessica Simpson.

According to TMZ, the 30-year-old bubbly singer has taken "several meetings" to talk about the gig, and a source tells the website, there's "mutual interest."

Jessica simpson would make an awsome judge!She does have talent in both the pop and country scene!She would be great!Jessica has had many hits and albums! She would be great

I think a good panel would be Randy, Jessica & Diddy. 2nd choice would be Randy, Harry Connick Jr. & Jessica. JLo may be okay with either team sans JS, but those are my choices for guys. Jessica would fill the Paula void & do it well.

I would really like to see Jessica as an Idol judge. Who would be better than her to give advice to someone.. she has had so much criticism given to her im sure she would know what she is talking about. Plus she has a warm heart and would be a solid peice of mind for each contestant. Along with that she would fill the place that Paula left. She would make the show funny and I would start to watch it again.

Jessica would be awesome! She could definitely give us back the silly, ditzy Paula stuff. That show needs someone to lighten up the mood. Kara is so serious and Randy, well he's Randy. Ellen was always an odd fit anyway.....

She's Beautiful, she would add some humor with her naivenes, and she does have talent and knowledge, she's been getting paid since a young girl. WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOIN?

Only stupid things would come out of her mouth. I would never be able to sit thru a show with Jessica Simpson on it. It would simply be too stupid. I also think this is a rumor put out by Jessica and her Father to keep her name relevent. They are both pathetic.

Have a rotating seat with people from the 70's-90's doing a full week, the people who made all those songs we still sing. Donna Summers, Cher, Bonnie Raitt, Sting, Grace Jones, L. Ritchie, Stevie Wonder, Micheal McDonald, Carly Simmon, Bette Midler, Stevie Nicks, Linda Ronstatt, Cat Stevens, etc. Keep it new and fun
