Today Goes to the Olympics, 2012
The 2012 Summer Olympics in London were the first to be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network. Coverage of the Games topped 5,500 hours in July and August — several of which were on the Today show. As part of that coverage, NBC sent Lauer, Roker, Morales, and Savannah Guthrie to England, where they interviewed athletes, recapped big events, and provided commentary on the opening and closing ceremonies.
