What happens when Courtney Love goes to a star-studded party at Charlie Sheen's house?

A whole lot, it turns out.

In the second half of Love's no-holds-barred interview on The Fix, the rocker, 46, claims that her heroin addiction seriously ramped up when she showed up at a mid-90s bash held at hard-partying Sheen's mansion.

Love first "tried smack," snorting heroin (she thought it was cocaine) at age 16 when she was "working at a dance hall in Taiwan" to earn money, she says.

By the mid 90s, Love — by then a world-traveled rock star and the widow of Kurt Cobain — had moved to L.A. and struggled to stay clean. But one evening, a Hollywood-connected beau "took me to this star-studded party at Charlie Sheen's house in Malibu. Tom Cruise was there, and Madonna," Love recounts.

A pal, singer Jennifer Linch, "convinced me to shoot up. 'Come on, everyone's doing it.' So that's when my whole heroin drama began."

She says she finally kicked the habit in 1996 — "except for one incident in July 2005, where I shot myself up on purpose to kill myself," she explains.

After telling cops she was "about to jump off Lenny Kravitz's roof," she was rushed to the psych ward of NYC's notorious Bellevue hospital.

These days, however, Love says she is drug-free "more or less," she claims. "I had a glass of rose a few weeks ago. The other night, someone offered me a bump of cocaine at an art gallery opening, and I did it. I felt completely like s**t afterwards."

Love also expounds on younger, flamboyant stars currently storming show business — like Lady Gaga, who may be headed for a lifetime of loneliness, she cautions.

"I'm worried about her future," Love says of the singer, 25. "She's very young, and she's very talented, but she doesn't seem to have any female friends. Or any straight guy friends for that matter. Instead, she surrounds herself with this coterie of gay stylists and advisors who've turned her into this weird, sexless Barbie doll….If she doesn't watch out she'll turn into a lonely drag queen. Straight guys just aren't in to that kind of thing."

Love has been the recipient of some good advice, too — from Gwyneth Paltrow! "I don't have a sense of self-preservation, which hasn't always won me a lot of friends," Love quips. "But as Gwyneth said to me, 'Once you're A-list, you're always A-list,' and I try to remember that."
