Courtney Love

Rocker and Golden Globe nominee Courtney Love was born on July 9, 1964, in San Francisco, Calif., and has made a name for herself — however controversial — in the music and film industry.
After teaching herself how to play guitar, Love formed the band Hole which rocked the music industry until 2002 when the group disbanded and Love went solo.
Her album, America’s Sweetheart, released in 2004, came out around the time Love was accused of abusing prescription painkillers.
Her acting skills resulted in a few major credits to her name, including 200 Cigarettes and The People vs. Larry Flynt.
Love was married to famed Nirvana grunge rocker Kurt Cobain from 1992 until his untimely death in 1994.
The couple has one daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, born in 1992.
