As Bret Michaels recuperates from the "warning stroke" he suffered Thursday in an effort to be well enough to attend Sunday's Celebrity Apprentice finale, the rocker's rep insists her client is not taking any "undue risks" when it comes to his recovery.

"Bret is a very passionate person and refuses to live his life curled up in a ball wondering if or when something else might happen," his spokeswoman Janna Elias wrote on his Web site Friday.

"As his friends and staff we are all making sure that he is not taking any undue risks and we are certainly taking every precaution possible to insure his health and well being," she adds. "If and when something else occurs we will deal with it at that time."

The rocker, 47 — who is still recovering from a brain hemorrhage — was readmitted to the hospital this week after "suffering numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands," according to a statement posted on his Web site.

In the days since his "warning stroke," or transient ischemic attack, Michaels has been receiving outpatient treatment for the Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO), now recognized as a cause of more than 50% of strokes like the one he suffered.

Michaels and Holly Robinson-Peete will face off Sunday to become Donald Trump's newest celebrity apprentice, with the winner receiving a $250,000 donation to their favorite charity.
