  Palin is an unconventional politician. She is also a wife and mother. Like many mothers, myself included, we often turn a deaf ear to what our kids are really doing. It can lead to devastating results. However, she now has a beautiful grandchild. Unfortunately, no matter how they feel about Levi, he's in their lives for many years to come. He is the father of that child. I don't care for Levi. He's using his infamy to turn a buck and embarrass the Palin's and his child in the future. But they all have to live with the choices that have been made.

  exactly - who wouldn't be devastated to have their TEENAGE daughter end up pregnant? - isn't that every parents worst nightmare! - no one can ever say a teenage pregnancy is a wonderful thing - I'm sure Bristol Palin would agree.

  Not ALL teenagers are sexually active. Sometimes thats just an excuse to justify one's own behavior. However, I think Palin would agree with me in saying that Bristol made a mistake (hey, she's human), but a good thing came from that mistake.

  I too am tired of hearing about this...let's move on and let them work through their "mistakes" as a family (Though, I'm not sure how a healthy, happy baby can ever be a mistake). However, Mrs. Palin's standpoints on abstinence only sex education are good in theory but in reality are not relevant to most teenagers in today's society....again, let's just move on.

  so sick of hearing about this family...Why does it matter. It seems like she just gets publicity because of her teenage daughter getting pregnant. Move on! Let your family get back to a "normal" life, and stop trying to make headlines by airing your dirty laundry, if you have issues with your family, why not take it up with them.

  Sista, I think people identify but Sarah Palin (like her or not) is a public figure. When you want to make policy for an entire country & you have the answers, then you better have your own business square. If not then, it's called hypocrisy...case in point, Rush Limbaugh, and his stance on drug users when abused drugs. The list both 'conservative' and 'liberal' could go on and on. I just hope Bristol and the baby are well and happy.

  Wait a minute! Am I reading this right? It sounds like some of you actually agree with Smart Lady? Come on, she is a sanctimonious idiot who deserves to be called out for her ridiculous statements! Smart Lady would have us believe that she "knows" what Sara Palin's priorities were or should be! Who the heck is she to judge or make those decisions for someone else anyway? Bad decisions are made by all children sometimes... even those with doting parents and lots of love. No parent can take total responsibility for all the good decisions that their children make... nor can they be held responsible for all the bad decisions.
