Sherri Shepherd has a lot going on. The single mother to 4-year-old son Jeffrey is a co-host on The View, stars in her brand-new Lifetime sitcom, Sherri, and has just published an autobiography.
But one thing she won't be doing? Dancing With the Stars.
"I have to say no to a lot of things, which is why you don't see me doing the salsa on Dancing With the Stars," she tells CelebrityBabyScoop.com in an exclusive interview.
The 42-year-old star admits that she has declined the show every single season.

"That is a show I've wanted to do since it came on the air because I love to dance, but everybody who has been on the show with children has said to me, 'Sherri, you won't see your child.'"
The comedian says that she doesn't have someone who could take over her job as Mom for 12 weeks at a time, joking, "because I'm just assuming I'd make it to the final four!"
Shepherd -- who split from Jeff Tarpley, her husband of seven years, after he cheated on her and got another woman pregnant -- said fellow View co-host and mom Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been especially supportive.

"Elisabeth told me something that I keep close," she tells CelebrityBabyScoop.com. "She said, 'You know, Sherri, you have a lot of spinning plates. Just make sure your child is not one of them.' So in everything I do, my first priority is my son."
Still, she jokes that despite being so versatile in her career, she struggles at home.

"He's a boy, and I'm trying to figure it out," she says of her most recent challenge of potty-training Jeffrey. "Like, how the heck am I going to get you to just push your butt in a little bit more to pee in the toilet so it's not dripping everywhere?!"
She adds: "I looked at him and said, 'If your wife or girlfriend is going to call me and go, 'Didn't you even teach the kid how to use the bathroom?' That is not going to happen!"
