A rep for the Today show is denying reports that Kate Gosselin -- who appeared on the morning chat fest Monday -- acted like a diva.

The Chicago-Sun Times quoted unnamed show staffers Tuesday who said that Gosselin was "one of the most unpleasant" guests in "many years" and that she was "swearing like a drunken sailor as she stormed out."

In a statement to Extra, Today says: "These comments are completely and totally false and are certainly coming from bad sources. Kate Gosselin was a gracious guest on Today and anyone within a thousand feet of her at the show yesterday morning could tell you that. It is unfortunate that a newspaper would run these lies, which couldn't be further from the truth."

In the teary interview with Meredith Vieira, Gosselin said Jon's "goals are not my goals" and said "it's very hurtful" to see her ex with Hailey Glassman, the 22-year-old daughter of the surgeon who performed her free tummy tuck. Kate has exhibited diva behavior in the past.

At a January taping of Access Hollywood, Kate denied her daughter Mady water after she complained of getting dehydrated. As she cried, Kate told her to "be quiet." During a June trip to North Carolina with her kids, witnesses told Us Weekly she threw a "hissy fit" when people didn't recognize her and let her inside a locked gym.

A fellow vacationer told Us that during the same vacation Kate called one of her twins "dead meat" if they splashed her from a pool. The child's response? "Mommy, you are mean!" witness Ann Michele Sweeney said.
