Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are in final negotiations to star in the romantic comedy Four Christmases.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Vaughn, 37, and Witherspoon, 31, will play a couple who struggle to visit all four of their divorced parents' homes during the Christmas holidays.
Vaughn and Witherspoon would also co-produce the New Line Cinema film, which is slated for a 2008 release.
Meanwhile, the two single actors already know they have chemistry. As Us Weekly reported earlier this month, the pair had a flirtatious two-hour long meeting about the film at The Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills on June 29. The meeting quickly turned into a laugh riot as the two shared stories amid bursts of one-upmanship.
When the $20 check arrived, Witherspoon teased, “I’m not sure you can swing it.”
Ever the gentleman, Vaughn (who recently opened L.A. offices for his production company), refused to let her pay.

friends. They both have a lot going on in their life
and that makes people pull apart. She said he is a good

While I love both of them individually as actors, I just don't see the match between them. Kind of like when Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts did The Mexican, They didn't have that chemistry either. But you never know...it could turn out really good, we'll just have to wait and see.
