"The season finale of SCOTT BAIO IS 45 AND SINGLE was a truly satisfying end to a really good reality TV series. Throughout the show, we have seen Scott along with the help of the firm yet engaging Doc Ali tackle some very serious personal issues. I must say that this series is fantastic. Scott Baio is honest, open, and really struggling with the process. He's real and raw. And it's very refreshing to see. He's just a man trying to make a life for himself, the life he truly wants. Scott wants love like all of us do. And he's afraid of dying alone like so many of us are. I'm glad that he's taking this special journey and sharing it with us."

"Scott Baio has a genuine hit on his hands with his maiden reality voyage. The biggest surprise is how intriguing Baio is on the show, no matter how manufactured his onscreen or offscreen character may ultimately be. He is narcissistic and uncaring at times, plus a bit short-fused, losing his patience quickly. Yet he's also bright, smart, funny and brings a healthy New York cynicism to the show which makes him quite compelling. Viewers may walk away with a different impression of the actor but that's precisely the point."

"Scott Baio explores his commitment issues in a reality series that humorously plays out like a romantic comedy. Rather than simply watching him boss around a slew of assistants (think Paula Abdul and Kathy Griffin), the show explores a deeper personal issue as Baio tries to find out why he's never married any of the women he's dated, including Playboy playmates, models and celebrities. The concept of this new show is pure genius."

"SCOTT BAIO IS 45 AND SINGLE delivers entertainment on several levels, the most obvious being, well, Scott Baio is 45. And single. And he's willing to document that fact in excruciating detail on national television. But this little pop culture gem doesn't stop at the tip of the entertaining iceberg. Scott wisely goes with a voiceover of his thoughts while all this is going on. He apologizes for bad behavior, listens to good advice, and does it all with a great sense of comic timing and amusement. And to top this all off, the production is clever and occasionally pretty touching. So whether you're watching to see the trainwreck that has become Erin Moran or because you appreciate the Emmy-worthy editing and throwback soundtrack, the point is you should be watching it."

"The emotional journey that unfolds is both entertaining and engaging but not necessarily for the reasons you might expect. Scott Baio is immediately likeable and you want him to succeed. But it's not because you once adored him as Chachi or Charles - it's because he's humbly putting it all on the line as Scott Baio, the person. The refreshing thing is that, unlike a lot of other reality fare, SCOTT BAIO IS 45 AND SINGLE doesn't have to rely on exploitation or extremes. And that's what makes it such a pleasure to watch. It's been a long time since Scott Baio has starred in his own series but playing himself is his best role yet."

"It's nice to turn on a celebreality show and see someone who, while obviously scarred in some way, is emotionally stable and articulate enough to handle the journey that's before him. No matter what happens to Scott Baio - who's hired life coach Doc Ali to help him find out why he's never been able to commit to any woman, including his 'basically perfect' current girlfriend Renee (whom he's not allowed to see for 8 weeks) - you feel confident it won't break him. Translation: this isn't a guilty pleasure; it's just a pleasure."

"The redeeming thing here is Scott Baio himself. Still quite handsome and charming (plus residually rich!), he comes across as a terrific guy despite any personal flaws. It's no wonder that he got so many hot women. In the end, who can resist a nice bad boy with a big cigar?"

"SCOTT BAIO IS 45 AND SINGLE is a charming often funny show, much more restrained and tasteful than the typical VH1 reality series. The idea may sound a bit cheesy but thanks to Scott Baio's charm, it's actually an entertaining and sometimes sweet show. Besides the entertainment value, it is also a reminder that Baio is a talented guy who deserves better roles than he's gotten in recent years."

"What worked so well for Scott Baio in those long-ago sitcoms works equally well in this new millenium of reality television. His endearing charm and devil-may-care sensibility permeates the whole show and it makes for an entertaining half-hour of mostly lighthearted semi-self-awakening. The show is well-executed and the star is compelling."

"SCOTT BAIO IS 45 AND SINGLE happens to be an entertaining half-hour built around the one-time Hollywood hunk's quest to find out why he's still single. While it's fun to watch him struggle, in the end the show creates a sympathetic portrait of a star who has avoided the usual pitfalls of celebrity on the road to bachelorhood. And for a celebrity reality show, that's unusual and why this is worth your time."
