· It turns out that Lindsay Lohan’s mom, Dina, might have lied about being a former Radio City Rockette. And acting on Broadway. And in commercials.

· Paris Hilton’s younger brother Barron – who is reportedly not welcome on the club scene – got jumped in NYC but escaped by taxi. How gauche!

· Cuba Gooding Jr. may have saved a shooting victim’s life but, more importantly, is now frequenting the kind of fine dining establishments that go by names like Roscoe’s Chicken 'n' Waffles.

· Joe Francis is free on bail in Nevada but voluntarily keeping himself behind bars in a Reno jail -- so he won't have to face another round of charges (this time, conspiring to use minors in sexual performances and prostitution, among others) in Florida.

· The storied game of one upmanship between Chevy Chase and Steve Martin continues as Martin reveals that, like Chase, he too was beaten by a parent.

What is it with these Hollywood mothers? First there was Demi Moore's mother trying to emulate her daughter's controversial pregnancy shot, then Drew Barrymore's mother posing for Playboy, and now Lohan's mother making up childish lies about her past career! Honestly, it's a wonder these kids turn out as well as they do, (which often isn't that good!).

Obviously, some people's desire for fame knows no shame, even if it means making a fool of themselves or mooching off their offspring's career. Maybe these women should stop and read some of these forums and get a good look at what people really think about their antics. Then again, they'd probably lap it up ... it is attention, after all!!

I just want to say that Us Magazine is not very hip to Hollywood hang outs if one of their stories states that Cuba Gooding Jr is now reduced...to hanging out at Roscoes Chicken and Waffles. This establishment is known throughout the country for its soul food in the African American community. It is minutes from Sunset Blvd and just happens to have GREAT food. So, maybe you should put black writers on the stories about black people..that way you wont come out sounding ridiculous as well as using a great feel good moment with someone doing something outside the box like....oh my god..saving a life...to ridicule the black community. THANKS
