Zac Efron is very, very serious about breaking in a pair of jeans.

In order to get that dirty, distressed denim look, the actor wore the same G-Star jeans -- now his faves -- for eight continuous weeks until they were stripped of stiffness and sported "yellow whiskers" at the front.

"I wore them all throughout High School Musical 3," he told WWD Nov. 4. "I even wore them hiking. You have to wear them everywhere to get them right."

The 22 year-old denim devotee recently dissed his HSM beginnings to NYLON Guys magazine, carping, "I try not to look at all of it. You can't enjoy or celebrate it; it's not a real thing. The face on the lunchbox and s***--you can't share that with your friends."

And how much did he prefer his dramatic turn in the recent film Me and Orson Welles to earlier works in his oeuvre?

"It's the first time I've ever watched a movie [that I'm in] and in the end I'm like 'OK! I didn't check my watch once!" he admitted to the magazine.

It's okay to say you have matured out of playing pubescent roles, but to b---- slap what got you to where you are now seems wrong. Take notes from the greats. There must be a reason mega celebs choose to speak more favorably of former roles. Maybe because former connection may help out in the future in a different way.

I wouldn't be so ungrateful to your Disney beginnings. Would you be where you are without them? You should count your blessings Zac and realize that every actor must get their start somewhere. I could think of a lot worse ways to get your big chance at an acting career than to be in a fun, family friendly, unoffensive movie like HSM. Sounds like the ego is kicking in big time....

I'm thinking he shouldn't be biting the hand that feeds him. Without HSM, he would just be another struggling actor. With three daughters, I love all three of the movies and find them very family-friendly, and I'm thinking that he should be saying a constant Thank You to Disney for putting his face on lunch boxes and anything else they can think of instead of dissing them.
