Married since 1997, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have long dodged rumors of relationship troubles, and Jada has had enough.
"Every year, one celebrity couple is under the microscope. This year, unluckily, it's us!" Jada tells French magazine Gala, months after that the couple — parents to Trey, 18, Jaden, 13, and Willow, 11 — squashed a tabloid report claiming they were headed for divorce.
Jada, 40, tells Gala that rumors of marital strife couldn't be further from the truth. Acknowledging that she and her husband, 43, frequently spend time apart for business purposes, the actress says their bond as a couple is as strong as ever. She also slammed a report that the couple was no longer living under the same roof.
"That's ridiculous. These rumors are completely untrue," she says. "Will and I know the truth. I travel a lot because of my work, just like Will does….But our lifestyle hasn't changed. Before we had the kids, we were already far away from each other quite often because of separate projects."
One of Jada's recent projects? An intense ballad she penned just for her husband, which she released on Valentine's Day.
"With the major losses we have experienced in the last few weeks…We should remember…Our lives are worth living fully. Our risks are worthy. Our mistakes are worthy. Our traumas are worthy as well," she croons in "Burn," the song she posted on her Facebook page.
