Kate Winslet, 38, received an early Christmas present — a baby boy — on Saturday.
"This confirms that Kate had 'baby boy Winslet' on Saturday, December 7 at an NHS Hospital in Sussex County, UK," the actress's rep told omg! in a statement. "Mother and Baby are doing great."
Winslet's rep confirmed in early June that the actress was pregnant.
This is Kate's third child, but first with husband Ned Rocknroll. She has a 13-year-old daughter, Mia, from her first marriage to British film director Jim Threapleton (1998-2001) and a 9-year-old son, Joe, from her second marriage to "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes (2003-2010).
"I've really learnt a great deal about myself, in the last four years in particular," the Oscar winner told Harper's Bazaar earlier this year, opening up about her divorce. "I think I can see more clearly now — about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am, and the characters I have played — and I'm grateful for that."
Kate wed Ned Rocknroll, nephew of Sir Richard Branson, in a secret ceremony in December 2012 after about a year of dating.
"I was never going to change my name to Rocknroll," the "Divergent" actress told U.K.'s the Telegraph in September. "I've never changed my name to anything, so I didn't see a reason to start now … I quite like Kate Winslet; in fact I think it's very flashy."
Wonder if Kate's little one will take the name Winslet or Rocknroll?
Congrats to the new parents!
