Parents take note: When UK resident Julie Lawrence asks for an RSVP, she means it! The mom is threatening legal action after Alex Nash, 5, left her out of pocket by skipping the bash. Throwing her son a birthday party just before Christmas at a local ski slope, Lawrence submitted a $24 invoice to the boy's father, Derek Nash, and listed a "no-show fee" in the document, which Derek found in his son’s backpack.

Arguing that they did not have contact information for Lawrence to send regrets after realizing their son was double-booked and due to spend time with his grandparents, the Nashes tell the BBC Lawrence now wants to take them to small claims court for failure to pay. "I can understand that she’s upset about losing money. The money isn’t the issue, it’s the way she went about trying to get the money from me," Nash said. "[She submitted] a proper invoice with full official details and even her bank details on it."
