The Chicago White Sox held their annual Bark at the Park event at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, Illinois, on Tuesday, September 13 — and the MLB team set a world record for the most dogs at a sporting event.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the White Sox needed at least 1,000 dogs to stay in their seats in the outfield stands for 10 minutes during the third inning in order to take home the Guinness World Record — and they succeeded with 1,122 canines!

“They were a little noisy, but it’s kind of fun,” Sox outfielder Adam Eaton later told the news outlet. “It brings a different atmosphere to the ballpark. I think that’s one of the beauties of The Cell, really nothing is off limits.”

Many of the dogs donned Sox gear, including mini helmets and clothing. They did a lap around the field before the game started. The Sox later defeated the Cleveland Indians 8-1.

“It was just funny hearing [the dogs] yelling, like they didn’t know what was going on,” Sox second baseman Tyler Saladino told the Chicago Tribune. “They were just yelling back and forth at each other. That was a fun game though.”

Saladino even brought his own husky, Luna, to the game, explaining, “She doesn’t get too loud. She knows not to bark, so that probably wasn’t her out there. … But she knows something’s going on because she was getting treats yesterday on the field, treats today on the field. She’s loving life right now.”
