Meredith Nardino

Summary

When Staff Writer Meredith Nardino is not at Us Weekly’s New York City office, she can be found bundled up on the couch in her tiny East Village studio, listening to records with a glass of wine in hand. An avid supporter of the performing arts since birth, Meredith will often spend her weekends at the nearest concert, dance showcase or musical she can find. Not only does she love to be up close and personal with her favorite bands at general admission shows, she’s also a comedy fanatic and has watched every episode of Parks and Recreation, New Girl and Schitt’s Creek more times than she cares to admit. Meredith basically lives at her neighborhood yoga studio and is on a constant mission to find the best cold brew the city has to offer. She has never once kept a houseplant alive (but no, she will not stop trying).

Work or writing background leading to expertise

Meredith has always had a passion for music, arts and culture, which led her to pursue a role as her university newspaper’s designated music columnist for three years of her college career. She carried this love for music and entertainment with her to internships at The Celebrity Cafe and Baeble Music, where she was able to interview some of her favorite artists and cover live performances all over the city. Eventually, she went on to combine her knowledge of pop culture and politics at DoSomething.org, a non-profit organization focused on empowering young people to create social change.

Education

Meredith found her ram-ily at Fordham University’s Rose Hill campus, where she was a double major in journalism and communication & culture before graduating in 2018.

Work history

Before joining the Us Weekly team, Meredith was a contributor for Atwood Magazine and created campaign-related editorial content at DoSomething.org.
