Jan Ravnik Pokes Fun at Julianne Hough’s Awkward ‘DWTS’ Comment: ‘Nobody’s Safe’ (Exclusive)

Jan Ravnik wasn’t fazed after Julianne Hough made an awkward joke about his fate on Dancing With the Stars.

“I’m gonna say, ‘Julianne, nobody’s safe. Nobody knows who’s getting fired. Maybe you will not be here next week,'” Ravnik, 31, teased while speaking to Us exclusively after Super Bowl Night on Tuesday, October 13. “No, I’m joking.”

Ravnik and Tatyana Ali performed a spicy salsa to Kendrick Lamar‘s “Squabble Up” on Tuesday, earning 29 out of 40 points from the judges. While speaking with the duo in the skybox, cohost Hough, 38, asked how they planned to bring more “power” to their Dedication Night routine “if you’re here next week.”

“We have a dance that has no power, so I don’t know,” Ravnik joked with a shrug.

Hough laughed off his deadpan reply, saying, “There’s always power, come on!”

Luckily, Ravnik and Ali, 47, are sticking around for another week — Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson were sent packing — but they aren’t sharing too many details about what’s in store for Dedication Night.

“I will say one thing: Asking about next week when we’re up there is really hard, because I don’t even know what day it is on this day,” Ali told Us. “Like, I know it happens on Tuesday, but there’s nothing in your mind but that one minute, those 60 seconds that we’re on the floor. So when we get up there and it’s like, ‘Next week?’ You’re like, ‘That doesn’t happen until tomorrow,’ God willing.”

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actress quipped she didn’t want to tease “anything” about their next routine to avoid “getting in trouble.”

Jokes aside, the pair couldn’t be happier with their scores from Super Bowl Night, which included their first 8 of the season.

“I really loved what we did last week,” Ali told Us, referring to their Mariah Carey Night jazz performance. “I loved the dance. I thought we executed it really well, actually. But I’m here to learn, so I took the notes. You know, more precision, more power, and that’s what we tried to work on and bring into this dance this week.”

Along with improving her scores, Ali is growing more confident in the ballroom each week. For Super Bowl Week, she embodied a “sexy mama” persona.

“I mean, my skirt is super short, so I really don’t have a choice,” she told Us after the show. “You have to be just either confident or put something else on.”

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
