Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor is an Irish mixed martial artist, professional boxer and entrepreneur best known for becoming one of the biggest stars in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). McGregor was born in Dublin, Ireland, and raised in the Crumlin neighborhood, where he developed an interest in sports at a young age. As a child, he picked up boxing to defend himself from bullies, later transitioning into mixed martial arts as a teenager.

McGregor began his professional MMA career in 2008 and quickly established himself on the European circuit before signing with the UFC in 2013. His outspoken personality and knockout victories helped make him one of the promotion’s biggest attractions. Throughout his career, he has made history by becoming the first fighter to hold UFC titles in two weight classes simultaneously after winning the UFC featherweight championship in 2015 and winning the lightweight championship the following year. In 2017, he crossed over into boxing for a high-profile bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Outside the octagon, McGregor has remained a prominent public figure through business ventures, including his Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey brand, and appearances in the 2024 remake of Road House.

In 2024, McGregor underwent trial for allegedly raping and assaulting Nikita Hand in 2018. He was found liable of sexual assault and was subsequently ordered to pay damages to Hand in a civil rape case. He has continued to deny all allegations.

McGregor has been in a longtime relationship with Dee Devlin, whom he met before his rise to fame. The couple became engaged in 2020 and share four children: Conor Jr. (born in 2017), Croía (born in 2019), Rían (born in 2021) and Mack (born in 2023). They wed on December 12, 2025, at the Church of Santo Stefano degli Abissini in Vatican City.
