Angelina Jolie put her best foot forward — literally! — at Sunday's 84th Annual Academy Awards in L.A.
Wearing a custom Atelier Versace gown that featured a thigh-high slit, the 36-year-old actress oozed confidence on the red carpet. "I wanted to be comfortable and I feel sexy in black velvet," Jolie told Us Weekly.
While presenting the awards for Best Original Screenplay and Best Adapted Screenplay, the In the Land of Blood and Honey director struck a sultry pose onstage, which The Descendants screenwriter Jim Rash publicly mocked after his big win.
Jolie's over-the-top posing wasn't the only thing that stood out at the star-studded ceremony: her increasingly thin appearance became a topic of concern on Twitter. According to The Academy, Jolie's bony body ignited 3,399 tweets per minute.
"Dear Angelina Jolie. . .eat something," wrote singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee.
Echoed Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks: "Angelina Jolie is beautiful but she needs a lil' more meat on those bones!" The Bravo star also suggested that the mother-six eat "some biscuits and Popeyes chicken."
