Well, hello there, Brawny Cooper! Bradley Cooper was barely recognizable leaving the Tom Ford store in Beverly Hills on Thursday, May 1—where the Oscar-nominated actor looked shockingly bulkier and beefier than just a couple months ago.
Sporting a ginger-hued full beard, the American Hustle hunk, 39, wore a tight blue T-shirt that emphasized his puffed-up pecs and biceps. Failing to crack his famous smile, Cooper stayed hidden behind a pair of black sunglasses.
The big transformation, naturally, is for a movie role in American Sniper, a true story based on the impressive career of a late Navy SEAL. According to his costar, Eric Close, Cooper has gained about 40 pounds. “He’s really been working hard. He looks great. He’s really taken on this character,” Close told E! News.
In the more immediate future, the bulked-up Cooper will get tuxed-up at this Monday’s Met Gala in NYC, presumably with model girlfriend Suki Waterhouse.
