Who needs sexy outfits to feel good? Candace Cameron admitted to Us Weekly that she's happier than ever with her body during a Race to Erase MS event in Century City, Calif., on Friday, May 2.
"I've grown to love my body and I'm very happy with it," the 37-year-old actress told Us. "I'm confident with my body and at my age — not that I'm super old — but I feel like I look better now than I ever did in my 20s. I love my body."
Cameron is still in the running to win the Mirror Ball on Dancing With the Stars, and has been vocal about her wardrobe choices since day one. Last month, she said she would only wear modest costumes next to her partner Mark Ballas.
"I won't be the sexiest one out there," she told Us on March 17. "I am a mom and I want to be a good role model for my children and my husband. But I think for each dance we'll wear what reflects the dance but in the most classy way possible." (The Full House alum is mom to daughter Natasha, 15, and sons Lev, 14, and Maksim, 12, with Russian NHL husband Valerie Bure.)
Candace is constantly on the go with rehearsals for the ABC competition, but admits she's been feeling good about her appearance for years now. "It's self-confidence, but I've also gotten more in shape than in the past even 10 years since I had my kids," she told Us Friday night.
"I just keep working on it, not that it's the highest priority," she added. "I enjoy playing sports with my kids. It's just affected my body, so I love the way it looks now."
