1. "Know what you eat.”

Underwood, 32, takes farm-to-table seriously. "I like to know where all the food that I'm putting in my body is coming from," she tells Us Weekly. That's why I love being able to start each week with a trip to the supermarket."

2. "Eat a healthy breakfast."

The mom, who welcomed baby Isaiah in February, definitely believes in the mantra that the first meal of the day matters. "It's so important to start the day with something fresh and tasty," Underwood, who gave Us a sneak peak at the spring/summer 16 Calia collection in the behind-the-scenes picture above, says. "Right now I like to make oatmeal or a tofu scramble with whatever I have in the fridge."

3. "Eat to feel good."

Just because the singer, who is currently promoting her latest album, Storyteller, loves to eat healthy doesn't mean she never gives into temptations. "I eat to feel good and sometimes that means it's okay to indulge," Underwood, who partnered with Gilt City to share her must-stop spots, shares. "From time to time, I'll sip on red wine to unwind and relax at the end of the day, or when I'm with my girlfriends."

Underwood's reasonable advice doesn't stop at food. The American Idol alum doesn't let exercise control her day. "Rather than plan my day around my workout, I'll fit it in however I can," Underwood tells Us. "Between naps, feedings or errands, it's all about being prepared to jump in wherever, whenever."

And all of Underwood's Calia clothes allow her the freedom to break into a workout whenever the opportunity presents itself. "I'm only ever a layer away from a look that can transition from a street to sweat session,” Underwood, who married Mike Fisher in 2010, tells Us. "Right now I'm really into Tabata… I’ll switch up each day to keep it fun. It’s a few minutes of intense activity that I can do anywhere – then move on to conquer the rest of my day."
